Your account is deleted
Your account, your places and saved books, your highlights and notes, your membership, your checks and your sign-in are gone, and you're signed out. Every book reads as before.
Download your data
One JSON file with everything we hold about your account: how you sign in and when you signed up and last signed in, from Firebase Auth; your account, with the name we credit you by; your place in each book and the books you've saved; your highlights and notes, if you're a member; your membership, if you have one, with your Stripe customer's ID; and every section you've checked. It includes your email address, because it's yours.
Delete your account
Deleting your account removes:
- your account: the name we credit you by, whether it's a pseudonym, and whether to show it
- your place in each book, and the books you've saved
- your highlights and notes, if you've made any
- your membership, if you have one: it's cancelled in Stripe at once, before anything else goes, with no refund for the time left, and so is your customer record there, with your saved card
- every “Looks right” check you've made, so each count drops at once
- your sign-in: your email address and any link to GitHub or Google
It can't remove:
- Released editions keep their credits, like a printed book.
- Changes you made through pull requests stay in the books' repositories on GitHub, as GitHub records them.
- Stripe keeps the payment records the law requires: your membership's invoices and payments.
Deleting can't be undone. You can sign up again later, as a new account.
